LG is working on an S Pen competitor — welcome the G Pen
LG and Samsung are the two heavyweights in technology known from South Korea While the two companies copy each other sometimes, it is LG who is well known to blatantly copy Samsung on many occasions. And this looks like one of those times.
A recent patent filing by LG Electronics showed that the phone maker has registered the word “G Pen” as well as “G Scrawl” which adds up to one thing — an S Pen look-alike. As you may know, Samsung’s S Pen stylus has been present in generations of the company’s Galaxy Note phablets, and it looks like LG might do so for one of their large smartphones even as the future of it’s next LG G Pro 3 looks dim.
