LG’s G Watch takes $50 dive following launch of iWatch, no, Apple Watch
Welcome the ripple effects of unveiling a premium-looking Watch with six different styles and handles by Apple: LG has chopped $50 off the price of it’s Android Wear-powered G Watch wearable, to keep the sales, as dry as it could be, trooping in.
The G Watch was until now retailed for $229 at Google Play and BestBuy, however, the prices of the smartwatch at both stores reduced drastically to $179. Amazon on the other hand didn’t do a full 50 bucks price slash, stopping the price of the watch at $199.
Keep in mind that Apple Watch isn’t exactly cheap. These things will cost at least $350 when they land on the showcases early next year, but then, it’s good to maximize the sales before that time, LG thinks.
We are also being told The LG Watch will return to it’s normal pricing by 23 September, a statement which might not be true after all — you know, it’s not uncommon to see these companies hyping consumers into a buy rush.
