Meizu announces the Meizu MX 6, affordable version of the PRO 6
The best way to go for phone manufacturers who aim to make big in the high end market and also accrue some income while catering to others is to diversify and provide devices for the middle and entry level users and while OnePlus doesn’t seem to buy into this kind of ideology, Meizu is currently banking on something of the sort to maximise their own profits.
After the launch of the much successful and equally expensive Meizu PRO 6, the Asian phone manufacturer has now sought to also appeal to the middle level markets with the Meizu MX 6, touted to be the much affordable version of the former mentioned.
Meizu has relatively done well with the MX series in the past and they have always made sure that the next one is usually an improvement over the former, the same thing we are to expect on the latest member of the family – the MX 6.
The Meizu MX 6 would be built with a TDDI LCD screen technology (obtained from Sharp) and would run all of its activities on a deca-core processor generated by MediaTek. The CPU handles the overall 4GB of RAM that runs the device and as a start-up, gives you 32GB of internal storage to deal with. Impressively enough, they have also managed to fit in a battery with capacity of 3020mAh in there with faster charging time. The security of the device is further boosted by a fingerprint scanner and an all new Sony made lens for the 12MP camera.
Estimated to go for about $299 in the free market, you would be saving on the Meizu PRO 6 which goes for $390 itself and offers near features to this new affordable one.
