Meizu might be unveiling out the first Ubuntu-running smartphone on 27th January
China’s Meizu who is saddled with the job of bringing the first Ubuntu smartphone to life by the end of this Quarter seems to have three undisclosed products rolled up its sleeves in anticipation of a launch event on 27th January 2015.
A teaser posted by the Ubuntu Mobile on Chinese social network Weibo reads “three happiness” when translated in reference to a 27/1 event with another description saying “notice the color, not the three”.
When reached out for comment, a Meizu representative declined to speak on the issue saying the company will announce its schedule when the promised Ubuntu-running smartphone is finally ready.
