Micromax appears to have struck a deal to buy CyanogenMod software
After the purported deal to buy the software outfit by Google broke down (on a refusal by the seller), CyangenMod appears to have stuck a deal that will fetch it some real money on a long term.
India’s Micromax is the new suitor and no, they are not planning to buy CyanogenMod like Google was planning, rather, they want to buy software services from the privately-backed company who’s source of revenue is still mysterious to many.
According to an announcement placed on XDA Developers web forum, future Micromax smartphones will be powered by UIs built by CyanogenMod.
