Micromax Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121 unveiled with Windows Phone 8.1 OS
Micromax has finally kicked off it’s Windows Phone campaign we told you you about with the introduction of two smartphones powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system version 8.1.
Micromax Canvas Win W092 was announced with a 4″ WVGA display. It has a 5-megapixel camera and a VGA front-facing camera.
The phone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM and it has 8GB of expandable storage.
The Canvas Win W092 will be available soon at a retail price of INR 6,500, just a little below $110.
Micromax Canvas Win W121 on the other hand is a 5″ IPS HD phone with an 8MP camera and 2MP front-facing snapper.
It also has 1GB of RAM and 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor with 8GB of native storage and space for microSD slot, of course.
The Canvas Win W121 will be available for INR 9,500 (roughly $108).
Both the Micromax Canvas Win W092 and Micromax Canvas Win W121 have two SIM card slots and both rocks Wi-Fi 802.11 , Bluetooth 4.0, 2G and 3G connectivities.
“We have a longterm partnership with Qualcomm and Microsoft. There is another device in the works but we will talk about it when it approaches finality,” cited Micromax Chairman Sanjay Kapoor as he was refreing of his company working on another Windows-powered smartphone already.
Micromax is expected to announce yet another device today. The device, named Micromax Canvas Gold, will be running on Android OS unlike these two Canvas Win devices.
