Micromax’s Yu Yureka took 3 seconds to sell 10,000 copies on Amazon
On Thursday, it took Micromax’s new smartphone subsidiary, Yu, a record of only 3 seconds to sell 10,000 of its Yureka smartphones on the Amazon India website.
Amazon and Micromax are likely to be delighted with this success. The first and second flash sale held for the smartphone (Yu Yureka) featured 10,000 and 15,000 copies respectively which were sold out in similar had-turning speed.
Yu Yureka, a direct competitor of, is replicating the success of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note which is known to be sold in such similar pattern but on Flipkart instead. Both phones share the same price tag of 8999 rupees, however, resellers who usually get their products from these online sales tend to sell them a little bit higher.
In terms of specs, the Micromax smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display, a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage, a 13-megapixel camera and dual micro SIM slot.
