Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL to hit the Indian market by December
Microsoft has announced the latest flagship smartphones at the company’s Future Unleashed event held on Thursday in Mumbai, Satya Nadella, the company’s CEO promised the devices will hit the Indian market by December. The announced smartphones both preloaded with Windows 10 mobile are the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 smartphone supports dual-SIM function and has a 5.2-inch QHD display with a pixel density of 564ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC with 3GB of RAM and an internal storage size memory of 32GB which is expandable using microSD card to up to 200GB.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL on the other hand also has a dual-SIM function with a 5.7-inch QHD display and a pixel density of 518ppi powered by a 2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. The device also features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage memory that can be expanded to up to 200GB also via microSD card.
The Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones come equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera capable of 4K video recording, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an f/1.9 aperture and also features a triple-LED RGB flash module while the front facing camera is a 5-megapixel with an f/2.4 aperture and is capable of full-HD video recording.
The Lumia 950 and 950XL smartphones are the first to run the Windows 10 Mobile from Microsoft with other features such as dedicated camera button, liquid cooling, an adaptive antenna technology which makes it possible for the device to pick the best reception thereby serving the users better, USB Type-C port (USB 3.1).
The Lumia 950 pricing is expected to be around $549 (roughly Rs. 35,800) in the US, while the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL should be available for $649 (roughly Rs. 42,300).
