Microsoft’s upcoming Lumia 950 XL will pack front-facing LED flash
The upcoming Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL have become regulars in the rumor mills during the past few days and that’s because the two phones’ launch day is fast approaching.
As we are waiting for the big day to arrive so that events could roll officially out, more mysteries about the two devices are being busted along the way. Today, we just learnt that the Lumia 950 XL (pictured left) — and most likely the Lumia 950 too — will feature a tri cluster of LED flashes to support the rear camera. According to purported pictures of the yet-to-be-announced smartphone that we got via Windows Central, the Windows 10-powered smartphone will have also sport another LED flash by the flank of the front-facing camera, bringing the total number of flashes on the phone to four — yes four; that number seems to be what it takes to make a great camera phone these days. The Lumia 950 doesn’t seem to sport a front flash however.
The pictured device appears to also have two SIM slots judging by the two network icons on the screenshot. On a closer observation, you can also spot the rear-facing single speaker grill and that should end all your hopes for a bottom or front-facing speakers on the phone.
The Lumia 950 XL will sport a 20.7MP Purview camera (not labeled in the picture) and its quite clear that the smartphone will feature a 5.7″ Quad HD touchscreen while an octa -core Snapdragon 810 chipset (same processor that powers the Nexus 6X) and 3GB of RAM stay under the hood to keep the engine powered.
