Motorola deletes all references where it promised Moto G4 an Android Oreo update
Lenovo owned company, Motorola has reportedly taken down all information regarding a possible Android 8.0 Oreo launch for the Moto G4 series.
This comes hot on the heels of the release by the tech company which revealed some of the smartphones which will benefit from the latest Android OS update.
The absence of the Moto G4 series from the Oreo update list has however caused a bit of frenzy amongst users of the smartphones in the line as they had originally been promised the Android 8 by the tech company. Added to this is the fact that the Moto G4 series is not more than 18 months old which should guarantee its update status.
Following the exemption, it has been revealed that the company has further made moves to clear its tracks as regards the promise of the latest Android OS for the G4 series.
Proof which surfaced online indicates in the original Moto G4 poster that the smartphone company not only promised Android 7 Nougat but the Android 8.0 Oreo.
However, an updated poster shows that the tech company has since silenced the Android 8 Oreo update portion.
A YouTube video also released in May 2016 during the India launch of the device shows at 1:02 that the company promised the Android 8.0 Oreo for the G4 series.
