Newly discovered iOS bug allows you make calls…even when phone is locked
Yesterday, we told yold you of a bug on Apple’s newly released iOS 7 which allows access to the photo gallery while the device is on a lockscreen. Today, here is another bug that lets you bypass the lock screen, this time, allowing you to make calls to any number, just like the phone hadn’t been locked in the first place.
The bug goes like this: In the lock screen you go to emergency and key in a number you want to call, after pressing the green phone button repeatedly, the screen turns black with an Apple logo, and viola, you are making calls on a supposedly lock iPhone. We’ve tested it out on different devices, and while it doesn’t work all the time, the point is that it sometimes does. There’s no apparent way to disable Emergency calls, but Apple reportedly said they’ll issue a patch later:
