Next year’s HTC One (M9) alleged to be packing QHD, Snapdragon 805 CPU
Taiwanese phone company, HTC, will soon begin proceedings in making it’s next flagship smartphone. While not much was heard about the sales of this year’s HTC One (M8) with 5″ 1080p display and duo 4MP camera, it’s successor is said to be packing higher specifications in a bid to attract more interest.
According to information coming from China, the next HTC One (M9) will pack a 5.5-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) touchscreen display. The device is rumored to be sporting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 chipset which seems to be the crave of the moment for ‘big’ phones but might become outdated by next year when the M9 will break cover.
HTC was said to have ditched their 4MP UltraPixel camera now it seems obvious that people don’t like it. Instead, the OEM will use a 16-megapixel main sensor though we are not certain if the camera will feature optical image stabilization.
The device is tipped to posses 3GB of RAM and built-in memory will come in either 64GB or 128GB storage capacity, according to the buyer’s choice. The phone will be powered by a 3500mAh battery and will be running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, according to the same source.
While these specs seem enjoyable, the information is to be digested with a pinch of salt and garlic till we are able to get official confirmation.
