Nexus 5 would not be getting the Nougat push, official or otherwise
We all have known for a very long while that Google is not planning to continue the support that they had been giving to the Nexus 5 smartphone and this did not come as a surprise to us because OEMs are very known to stop giving precedence to their smartphones after they have spent a long time in the market.
However, the device was still surviving very well thanks to the developers that have failed to give up on it but it seems that with the latest Nougat, there is nothing more they would be able to do.
For one, the Nexus 5 runs a Marshmallow smoothly which means that it should be able to run Nougat too but with Qualcomm doing nothing as regard the provision of Snapdragon 800/801-powered devices with improved graphics cards, this would not be possible.
If you check the entire improvement log of the Nougat, you would find out that there is a Vulkan API in there to support gamers for better graphics. On this note, every other smartphone aside from the Nexus 5 that use any of these kinds of chipsets should forget being named to get the software bump officially or even, through third part developers.
