Nexus 6P user gets update to the Nougat, shows signs of near release.
Fellow Android users, you should get in here now. We have reason to think that there is some very good news cooking and the latest version of the Android platform to be released – the Nougat 7.0 – might be fast nearing completion that we might have thought.
A user of the Huawei made Nexus 6P device has reported that he got an update that promised to take his device to the Android Nougat 7.0 instead of backing up the Marshmallow. Reportedly, the Reddit user had removed his own Nexus 6P device from the Android beta program due to issues relating to battery and instead of getting his beloved Marshmallow back, was greeted with the OTA screen as seen above.
The update came at a small size of 49.5MB and the user has admitted that there were not many changes to the normal operation of his device. While this has increased the hope of a final build coming out anytime soon, we couldn’t get our hands on the update ourselves as the user was not able to get the download link before going on to install.
Any which way, the Nougat is nearly upon us, people.
