The Nokia 3310 is truly back, but you might not like it
The rumour mill asked us to await the coming back of the Nokia 3310, and while some might have seen this as just another ruse that would fail to see the light of day, HMD Global has really developed a new unit that they are selling under this name, and it was on display at MWC. Even though the icon is back though, you might not want to gaze upon it.
The device is rather unsightly and we would have even preferred them to keep the original colours. If it is that HMD wants to get people talking about them again, they have surely secured that dream. Bringing the device to us in plastic, they have claimed to do all they could to recreate the rounded edges and curves that were on the original model.
There is not much to look at when it comes to the spec on this unit, so don’t be surprised that the only things worth of reporting are the 3.5mm headphone jack, removable 1200mAh battery which is said to offer 51 hours of music playback and likewise, the 2MP camera on the back which has its own LED flash.
The feature phone is expected to sell in Europe, and it would go for €49 there.
