Nokia (Microsoft’s Nokia) showcases foldable display tech
Nokia has showcased a flexible, bendable and foldable display demo at the 2014 edition of the Society for Information Display (SID).
Nokia seized the moment to display a two-fold display which can be folded like a book, and a three fold display, which can be folded three times. Both screens are measure 5.9 inches diagonal, and has 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution.
Nokia says the screens’ surfaces don’t quite touch when folded, thanks to their 2mm fold radius. The screens can withstand 100,000 folds during it’s lifetime, Nokia added.
