Nokia Normandy caught running Android 4.4.1 KitKat
With every single day that passes, the reality of an Android-powered Nokia phone keeps getting positive.
It appears that someone (at Nokia), while experimenting the Nokia Normandy tried it out on AnTuTu benchmark and a lot of specs was spilled — a 4-inch display with 480×854 pixels resolution, a 5MP rear camera and Android 4.4.1 KitKat operating system were all recorded.
We also got to know that the model name of the Normandy is actually Nokia RM-980 A110. Thanks to @evleaks, we were able to get some pictures of the Nokia Normandy running Viber and Skype on Android, we also got to see Nokia’s deeply skinned Android home screen and UI(which looks very simple yet cool).
While Nokia fans will be yearning for more, Microsoft’s pending acquisition of Nokia which will be concluded in a few weeks’ time should be put in mind. Microsoft will obviously not want anything that will hurt it’s tender Windows Phone campaign, and will likely scrap any idea of Nokia making an Android phone once they acquire the Finland phone maker.
