Nokia X family won’t make it to the USA, Japan and South Korea
Nokia has announced that it’s latest Android phones — Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL — will never see the shores of Japan, South Korea and United States of America. Reason being that the phones won’t be sold there. Period.
Nokia shocked the world when it announced the X series lineup at the 2014 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with an aggressive pricing of €89 for the Nokia X, €99 for the Nokia X+, and €109 for the largest of the pack, Nokia XL.
Despite the fact that these are entry-level smartphones, Nokia shouldn’t have barred the X family from selling in advanced markets as the USA, Japan and South Korea. Many Nokia fans in the aforementioned countries might still want to buy these phones considering it’s the first set of Android phones from Nokia.
Nokia might still have a rethink of the words Jussi Nevanlinna, VP for Mobile Phone marketing uttered on their conversation website; But before then customers in USA, Japan or South Korea can still make their Nokia X orders from any online dealer that ships to their country.
