Oneplus 2 vs ZTE Axon Phone Preview: Is The Future Here?
When a newly launched phone exceeds expectations of the phone users, it definitely is intriguing. Especially when the company offers the phone at a much lower price than most big brands present in the current smartphone market. Let’s face the facts, half the price is because of the brand name itself which is why buying these expensive phones can heavy on the pockets for many. But, in the year 2014, Oneplus One came along and revolutionized the smartphone world for the people. For the first time, people were actually going for a phone that wasn’t known about before. It wasn’t a big brand like the iPhone, HTC or Samsung, but it did its trick and became the phone of the year 2014. Now, 2015 welcomes the Oneplus 2, the next phone brought up by the company in the series. Even before its launch, people are already hyper to get this phone. No doubt the specs this phone is going to carry are worth looking at. But, other companies too have learned this tactic and understood what people desire in their phones within a budget.
That is why ZTE has brought up its flagship phone the Axon phone. Axon has been built to keep in mind with the advancements of the new generation. The phone has already been compared to the Oneplus 2. And, do believe that when you check out both the phones, you are definitely going to be confused between the two. Both are simply brilliant. Moreover, the price they offer is just too less for monster specs that they possess. A detailed comparison of the specs can be seen below for better judgment. Take a look.
Externals: Design and Display:
The ZTE Axon possesses a high-end body with front-facing speakers. It offers a 5.5-inch display with 1440 by 2560 pixels resolution at 534 ppi. Now, that definitely is a really high-resolution screen. The colours on this screen are worth admiring. While the Oneplus 2 has not launched yet so its body design is yet to be seen. But, looking at the specs, you get a 5.5-inch screen with 1080 by 1920 pixels @401 ppi. That too is a decent screen resolution. You would hardly find pixels bursting in either of the smartphones. Surely, we loved the Oneplus One. Hopefully, the design of the Oneplus 2 will be worked upon to offer a more intriguing look. On the other hand, the Axon is definitely a good-looking phone.
Internals: Software and hardware:
This is the portion which people love to hear about when it comes to a phone. Both phones feature similar specs. Both possess Android v5.1 (Lollipop). Even the system chip in both the phones is Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994. The processor in Axon is Octa-core with 2000 MHz (64-bit) Arm Cortex-A57 & ARM Cortex-A53. GPU added in both is Adreno 430. So, as far the specs are concerned, both possess similar power. Nonetheless, the actual performance in both the phone will only be seen once the Oneplus 2 launches and both the phones are operated side-by-side. Another spectacular feature in the two phones is the RAM, which is 4 GB. Internal storage in the Axon is 32 GB while in the Oneplus 2 you get two variants – 16 GB and 64 GB.
Axon offers all these specs with a 3000 mAh battery. On the other hand, the Oneplus 2 will possess a 3300 mAh battery to juice its processor. Looking at the monster specs, it might be possible that a 3000 mAh battery will have to be charged from time to time. Surely less as compared to other small battery, high-spec phones. So, it can be inferred that the Oneplus 2 will last longer compared to the Axon.
Camera and Connectivity:
Taking a look at the camera, you get a 13 MP primary dual camera in the Axon while there is a 13MP camera in the Oneplus 2. With the dual cameras, you are able to get better shots in the Axon. However, the aperture size in the Axon is f/1.8 while it is f/2.0 in the Oneplus 2. You also get dual-LED flash in both phones. Axon has an 8MP front camera while the Oneplus 2 offers a 5MP front camera. Picture quality in the Axon is decent while that of the Oneplus 2 is still to be seen. Overall, it can be seen that if one has a better spec in one category, the other one has it better in some other category. Despite it all, both phones possess awesome specs.
Connectivity options in both the phones consist of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wif-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, etc. The sensors in the Axon are accelerometer, proximity, compass and ambient light sensor. Sensors for the Oneplus2 are also almost the same.
Oneplus truly has to face a lot of challenge this year. The companies have understood how they have to act in order to get maximum sales for their flagship phones. ZTE’s Axon has done that trick and is already available for the people. It possesses better specs in one way than the Oneplus 2. Nonetheless, there are going to be Oneplus-brand fans, who want to buy the next phone in the series only. This is because the Oneplus One had durability and reliability. The company showed that a cheap phone could also possess specs, which are not at all low quality. ZTE is however not up to that standard until now. People might look up to buying the Axon phone from the market to try out new things.
To make more and more people try out the Axon, ZTE made sure that the specs are too intriguing for the audience to try them out. Specs such as the dual camera, HiFi DSC speakers are worth a shot. And, people will try them for sure. Another plus point for the Axon phone is that it has been priced the same as the Oneplus 2. Both will be available at around 450 USD. Now, you decide which one you have to go for.
