Is OnePlus teasing a OnePlus One successor?
The phone maker who broke away from Chinese start-up Oppo, seems to be ready for another device already, as it’s first smartphone has been a success all through. An interview an executive of the company revealed how OnePlus was making less than $10 profit per smartphone it sold and how the company has been staying alive after producing the ‘2014 flagship killer’ aka OnePlus One.
And now, OnePlus seems to be cooking something fresh. On Weibo (China’s equivalent of Twitter) it posted a teaser that translated to “The theory of evolution applies to all things in the world, including technological devices, so stayed tuned!”
What this could only mean is that something else is cooking in OnePlus’ kitchen and it’s not the One. Actually, earlier reports made us to believe the Two (OnePlus Two) is already in the works and will debut next year in a frame that measures smaller than the One’s, although it’s not clear yet if the upcoming phone’s screen will be made smaller too.
Whatever OnePlus is cooking, the company just wants to create attention, like most tech companies do anyway. We’ll bring you updates once any new information about the OnePlus Two is available.
