Oppo announces sales of more than 2 million units in the R9 series
Oppo has made a stunning announcement today and on the back of that, we can just really see how much Chinese OEMs are doing in the market, and how it may be them that would take over the smartphone market in the future. Today, the company admitted to having sold more than 2 million units of the Oppo R9 series.
The R9 family has been a series that is focused on the selfie generation and with the great front camera units that each of the members of this line-up offered, it was too hard an offer to resist.
Consisting of the R9, R9 Plus, R9s and R9s Plus, they were all launched last year, and the oldest pf them are the first two which launched in the first quarter of 2016, with the latter two coming in the fourth quarter.
To further boost sales and keep the devices appealing to customers, Oppo released a red colour option for the R9s last month. The only thing changed on this was the paintjob as the innards remained the same. For now, only the Chinese markets have access to this new one.
