Oppo comes to MWC with world’s first dual camera setup with 5x zoom
This is another year at the MWC and Oppo is here again this year. Much like they did last year though, they have no intention of launching a new unit to the market but rather, want to show off the latest toy that they have developed for use in mobile phone technology.
Starting from the next set of high end devices that this company makes, we might start to see the effects of a dual camera setup which is also supporting a 5x zoom capability. This would be the first time such a feat is achieved on mobile technology, and it is surely a remarkable one for the camera enthusiast.
Ripping the components off one after the other, the 5x camera zoom lens can be seen to consists of a lot of parts, up to 50 and above if you’re counting, and it uses a periscope style to setup its actions. Oppo made this announcement while reminding the market that this is not the first time that they have done something ground-breaking when it comes to cameras.
For example, they reminded everyone of their 5MP front camera for the Ulike 2, which was a first then, and the Oppo F1 Plus which manages to pack a 16MP camera on the front too – another first.
