Oppo R1L with LTE, 7.1mm thickness released
Oppo has quietly released a new smartphone it calls the Oppo R1, an LTE-enabled iteration of the year-old Oppo R1.
However, the new smartphone isn’t exactly new, considering it’s identical to the Oppo R1S which is limited to only the Chinese market. However, the R1L will be retailed as the international variant of the R1S.
Spec-wise, Oppo R1L sports a 5-inch HD screen. The sleek-looking plastic body with aluminum outer finish measures 142.7 x 70.4 x 7.1 mm and tips the scale at 136 grams. The phone further packs a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie unit up front.
Powering the R1L is a Snapdragon 400 chipset which features a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, 0.2GHz faster than the same CPU found on the R1S. The rest is 1GB of RAM and a 2410mAh battery. The phone runs on a Color OS-skinned mod of Android 4.3.
The Oppo R1L is priced at $370. Despite being made by a Chinese OEM, the phone’s price can be said to be justifiable considering the smartphone features LTE and a Qulalcomm-made CPU, which you know doesn’t come very cheap.
