Oppo R7 press images crop up
Very much has been said about the upcoming Oppo R7 in the past few weeks. This is partly because Oppo isn’t just an ordinary Chinese startup selling products since the company now competes with the likes of Xiaomi and Huawei, however, the main buzz surrounding the R7 is because this smartphone has little or no side bezels.
Alleged press shots of the device posted on Weibo this morning did not show the phone from the frontal angle, thereby it takes a lot of care to see that the touchscreen covers the face sideways, leaving only a thin layer of bezels on both sides.
It’s not yet clear on when Oppo R7 will break cover but this is a device sequel to the once world’s thinnest smartphone, Oppo R5, which had 4.85mm thickness; at such, the R7 is expected to be a pretty slim device itself.
Rumored specifications we’ve heard about the smartphone include a 20.7-megapixel camera (to be likely made by Sony) and a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795 under the hood. Stay tuned as we bring you more updates on the “bezeless” Oppo R7.
