People dump their iPhones for new Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphones
The new Samsung Galaxy S5 has been doing quite impressively in sales numbers since it’s launch, but Samsung won’t be any happier than hearing the report that 38% of the new users of the smartphone were people who dumped their Apple iPhones.
Apple and Samsung are currently in court where the former is wanting $2 billion from the later over a second patent infringement suit.
According to Telegraph, who gathered the statistics from trade-in outfit CompareMyMobile, the Apple iPhone 4s has the highest number of trade-ins for the Galaxy S5, seeing that customers who turned in their 4s grew by 210%.
The Samsung Galaxy SIII was second. Trade-ins for the 2012 former flagship saw a 196% increase after the release of the GS5.
Surprisingly, the Apple iPhone 5s made an appearance at third position. The iOS7 smartphone which was released barely six months ago has gone tiring on people’s hands already as 160% more customers traded in their phones in a bid to taste Samsung’s own fruit.
