Report suggests that Samsung might supply OLED panels to Apple exclusively till 2018
Next year is the year when we have been promised a complete revamp of the design that iPhones have been carrying up until now and it seem that the Cupertino based company have now started to make moves towards the actualisation of that promise.
From a new report that comes out of South Korea, it has been stated that Apple wants to finally ditch the flat IPS displays that they use on their devices and switch to curved OLED panels too, and one of those that might be supplying the panels is Samsung. However, there is new report to suggest that at least for a couple of years, Samsung is meant to be the sole supplier of these panels.
From what the report states, till the end of the year 2018, it might be only Samsung that would show up on the import manifests of Apple in terms of OLED panels because only the android rival can meet the kind of demand that they would be making or the panels. This is not the first time that Samsung has partnered up with Apple to develop components for theme and with the former deal ending sometimes not long ago due to security concerns on the part of Apple, they hope to reignite that flame again should this deal come through.
