Top Chinese phone maker Xiaomi ditches Android for Windows 10 tablet
A new wave of gossip has surfaced from China suggesting that Mi Note maker, Xiaomi, will soon launch a Windows-powered tablet.
The information comes from popular Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang, who says the device will succeed last year’s Xiaomi Mi Tablet, which ran on Android 4.4 KitKat on arrival. The swift decision to switch to Windows mysteriously comes barely months after Windows 10 was announced. Xiaomi’s choice of Windows could be best explained as request for more work than fun, with the former being what Windows is best known for.
Jiutang also predicts that Xiaomi‘s Windows tab will launch this quarter, on August 16 precisely.
