Rumor: Samsung in the works over a Tizen OS flagship, to be named the Z9
Samsung started the Tizen OS project a while ago and even they themselves might not have expected the level of success that they are now getting on the platform. Targeting the OS at their various emerging markets all over the world, they are getting really positive feedback from the users and they have even added the operating system to some of their wearables and other such accessories.
On this note, we are already expecting the launch of another Tizen device in September and this one is meant to be the Samsung Z2. What has however come to our attention now is that Samsung might be planning another Tizen device which has recently featured on Zauba, the importing/ exporting company of India.
Given that there is a huge gulf between the numbers 2 and 9, we are expecting that this one be a very bigger device in terms of specs, size and features and it might be the first one of the Tizen line-up for bigger markets. Asides from the naming system, this one also plans to sell for five times the price of the currently available Z2 and that is enough indication that it would most likely be a flagship.
So far, we know that the Z2 in its own right would be having a display of either 3.97 inches or 4.5 inches, under the hood would be a quad core CPU, have 1GB of RAM and then use 8GB of internal storage space.
