Samsung announces that the Galaxy Tab S units won’t be getting Marshmallow bump
The Galaxy Tab S slates have been in the market for more than a while now – two years if we are counting – and if you happen to own one of these, it is sure that you still have a great tablet at hand. When it was launched out of the box then, it came running the Android 4.4.2 out of the box and some months ago, it got the update to start running on the Android Lollipop 5.0.
The smartphone was launched in two screen variants of 8.4 inches and 10.5 inches and even though you might have what they call “mad love” for this piece of hardware, Samsung themselves are about to break your heart.
The Netherlands branch of the South Korean OEM have recently announced that they are in no way going to offer support to this smartphone so that it would run the latest Android software till date – the Marshmallow 6.0.
This was more than a shock to many because earlier, there had ben sightings of this smartphone on various benchmark tests where it had been seen to be running this version and even, there was some news that the update would be rolling out.
Maybe Samsung changed its mind, or they want people to start ditching the older models and coming for the newer, but for whatever reason, we are not having the big 6 on Galaxy Tab S.
