Samsung Galaxy A8 is coming with a Snapdragon 615 SoC, 5.7″ 1080p display — rumor
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha — or rather, the first generation Samsung Galaxy A series — brought to life a revolution in the design of Samsung phones. After so many year’s of sticking to a rounded edge-design, Samsung fans were relived to see metal-surrendered, less cornered devices in the then new Samsung Galaxy A phones.
As things are making more sense after the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S6 which came along with an entirely fresh physical rhythm, Samsung is reportedly readying the next line of Galaxy A smartphones.
A source from Korea this evening hinted us of an approaching Samsung Galaxy A8 which might become the successor to the Galaxy A7. Sammobile noted that an insider has highlighted a fingerprint sensor as one of the expected key features of the phone.
The yet-to-be-released Samsung Galaxy A8 will carry a 5.7-inch 1080 x 1920 pixels touchscreen, if the reports are anything to go by. The handset will feature Qualcomm’s 64-bit upper mid-range Snapdragon 615 chipset with eight CPU cores and an Adreno 405 GPU. Other parts of the engine will be made up of a 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
The same source says that the phone will carry a 3050mAh battery but despite the increased battery capacity, the body will measure just 5.9mm, beating out it’s predecessor and every other smartphone Samsung has made, in thinness.
We can’t accurately mention when the Samsung Galaxy A8 is expected to be unveiled so we’ll be looking out for more crumbs on the way and possibly pictures until we get to see the main thing break cover.
