Samsung Galaxy J6 outed on Geekbench
South Korean tech company, Samsung, looks to be working on yet another smartphone following the launch of the premium range Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus at the MWC 2018 event in Barcelona.
The latest tip on the company’s new smartphone was revealed by the recent spotting of an addition to the J series family on benchmarking website, Geekbench.
According to the listing on the benchmarking website, the latest addition to the J series smartphone may be dubbed the Galaxy J6 and comes into the market with the model number SM-J600F.
The smartphone will of course enter into the market upon release as a midranger and come packing the mid-range Samsung’s in house Exynos 7870 chipset.
The chipset however comes at par with the Galaxy J5 (2017). The J6’s processor is however clocked at a speed of 1.6 GHz, with the octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU supporting a maximum screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.
Under the hood, the Galaxy J6 will be packed with 2GB of RAM and run on the Android 8.0 Oreo OS which spells good for the midranger.
