Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 launches in India for INR 20,900
In Southeast Asia, precisely India, Samsung has unveiled and subsequently released it’s midrange phablet flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2. The phone is already available in stores (Samsung online Store for example) for INR 20,900 or about $340.
On the feature side of things, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 sports a big, big 6-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels as resolution. The phone is powered by a quad-core chipset (Snapdragon 410 or Exynos 4415 depending on processor) with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB ROM.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 will boot Android 4.4 KitKat right from the box though it’s not clear if Samsung will upgrade the smartphone to Android 5.0 Lollipop just as it will do with the Galaxy Note 4 and the GS5. The device carries out it’s photography job via an 8MP camera at the back and a 2MP snapper at the front.
