Samsung Galaxy Round pulls a flop, users don’t want curved weird-looking phones
The Samsung Galaxy Round was announced last month with a flexible 6-inch screen. According to International Business Times the curved smartphone which is currently retailed in Korea for about $1000 has not made it beyond 10,000 units in sales.
Many users are not afraid to test out the flexible display technology but it seems they don’t want a curved phone at such a high price. It should also be noted that the Galaxy Round is the first of it’s kind and can easily qualify for an experiment of the new display technology so many customers might be waiting for a second, maybe third generation of phones with flexible screen to guarantee stability and maybe cut prices too.
Another phone with curved display, the LG G Flex has being released in the same South Korea some weeks ago at the price of $940. Nothing has been mentioned about the sales of this device but mere looking at statistics, you need not be told that Samsung performs way better than LG in the mobile market, and thus, the difference should be reflected in sales of these two phones with curved displays.
