Samsung Galaxy S smartwatch with call functionality goes on sale in India
In India, Samsung Mobile has launched their latest smartwatch, the Samsung Gear S. What makes the watch stand out from other smart wearables is that it has a SIM card slot and can take/make calls, receive/send SMSes and play media files on it’s own.
However, with great functionality comes great pricing. The Samsung Galaxy S is available at the price of INR 27,900 on both Samsung’s dedicated eStore website and Amazon India. Considering the average price of smartphones in India, with that price (roughly $450), you could buy a couple of smartphones. But not to worry, the Watch wasn’t made for people on a tight budget.
In Korea, Samsung’s home country, the Galaxy S was greeted with 10,000 sales on it’s launch day. Though India isn’t expected to match that amount of sales, we’ll bring you the result of numbers once we lay our hands on them.
