Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also starts receiving October security update
The latest update that we saw from Samsung was that one which the Asian OEM sent to the users of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and in it was contained the security patch for the current month of October.
Today, Samsung has started to extend this same kind of courtesy to those that could afford only the smaller version of the S6 Edge and while this is not the most timely when it comes to the issue of updates, the users would be grateful due to the kind of OEM that they know that they have.
This update is currently rolling out to the unlocked units of this device and we are expecting it to go to the carrier versions of the smartphone too due to the fact that there would have to be some tests carried out to check compatibility tests.
For the patches, this update has been able to identify and fix 68 different vulnerabilities of the Android platform of which some are related to Samsung device only. Due to the fact that we don’t have the official changelog, we have not been able to get information on what these really are.
