Samsung Galaxy S6 flagships to have record sales — official
“If wishes were horses, beggars would ride,” quotes a popular saying. But then, Samsung is a big company, and big companies do big things, at least it seems.
The tech giants, hot from the heels of being dethroned by Apple as the biggest smartphone vendor in the world, says it would record massive sales with the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge battleships unveiled a few days ago.
According to Samsung Mobile’s head in Taiwan, Andy Tu, the Galaxy S6 is expected to oust the 2013 Galaxy S4 in number of sales, with the latter being the best-selling Samsung Galaxy so far with 16 million units sold in only 3 months of release.
Though Mr. Tu did not reveal how Samsung plans to do this, but the Project Zero-inspired new metallic design of the smartphone as well as faster chipset and sharper screen resolution binded with aggressive marketing which Samsung has already kicked off is expected to propel sales of both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.
The lack of a microSD card slot and removable battery has created some doubts among fans who intended buying the devices, however, Samsung says both phones can get 4 hours of use with just 10 minutes of charging as the devices are 1.5 times faster than the Galaxy S5 in charging and feature in-built wireless charging port. The memory issue was treated by making a 32GB model as well as a 64GB and 128GB variants of the handset.
