Samsung Galaxy S6 launching on March 1?
The battle line is drawn. The soldiers are in. The war is about to begin: After Apple mopped up a large chunk of Samsung’s smartphone market share, one out to ask Samsung, “What’s Next?” — And that’s what the title of media invites sent out by the Korean phone maker for a March 1 event reads.
The event is where Samsung is expected to unleash the much anticipated Galaxy S6 smartphone, the company’s next flagship which would be coming out in a bid to wrestle out some of Samsung’s lost market share from Apple, Xiaomi and the others.
Not wishing to be called “plastic” ever again, Samsung has purportedly used a metal frame and glass back for the Galaxy S6. The phone is said to be narrower and thinner than its predecessor at 143.5 x 70.7 x 7.2mm while Spigen supposedly posted what the device will look like on its product page on Amazon.
In terms of hardware, the S6 will feature a 5″ QHD display, 3GB of RAM and a Samsung-made Exynos chipset. This will be coupled with 3GB of RAM, a storage configuration of either 32GB, 64GB or 128GB while the smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
