Samsung Galaxy S6 sales could reach 50 million units by December
With the way the Galaxy S6 duo surpassed last year’s Galaxy S5 during their first 20 days (6 million vs 4 million), the new Samsung battleships are only behind Apple’s iPhone 6 in size of sales but it’s only a matter of time before the Samsungs adorn the throne.
“The Samsung Galaxy S6 series has a chance to become the top selling smartphone overtaking Apple’s iPhone 6 series, if production issues are solved,” head of Counterpoint Research, Peter Richardson said.
A Samsung executive has explained that the Galaxy S6 duo are having a good time in the market and that both phones have already crossed Samsung’s “internal” sales benchmark. Another official added that the 2015 models will be selling “far higher than those of the S5.”
