Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 becomes official with fingerprint scanner, other specs
Coming months after the official release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, the more rugged variant of the device has been launched and it comes packing some great specs.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes into the market with an 8.0-invh WXGA display with a screen resolution clocked at 800 x 1,280 pixels.
Under the hood of the Galaxy Tab Active 2 is the octa-core Exynoss processor produced by the South Korean tech company.
Paired with the Exynos 7870 processor is the Mali-T830 GPU for graphics and comes with 3GB of RAM for faster processes and 16GB ROM for the onboard storage space. The onboard storage space can however be expanded using a microSD card to as much as 256GB.
For the optics, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes packing an 8MP sensor on the rear panel while the front panel plays host to a 5MP sensor for selfies.
The device which has the Android Nougat OS running on it comes with additional features including a fingerprint scanner for added security and a 4,450mAh battery along with a facial recognition feature.
Added to this, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes with an IP68 certification which confers up to 5 feet of waterproof protection to the device for as long as 30 minutes.
