Samsung Galaxy Tab A launches in the US, starts from $230
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A is heading to the United States on May 1. The tablet series was first unveiled last month in an 8.0″ as well as 9.7″ screen sizes. Both models are going to hit the shelves in the US starting from next month.
For pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 will set you back $229.99 while the larger Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will cost a little higher at $299.99. But wait, that’s not all. There’s a special edition of the 9.7″ tablet which comes in “Smoky Titanium” color, bundled with an S Pen stylus and goes for $349.99.
In terms of specifications, both tablets house a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 5MP/2MP rear/front-facing camera duo, 768 x 1024 pixels resolution and a 6000mAh and 4200mAh Li-Ion battery for the 9.7″ and 8.0″ models respectively.
Apart from the United States, Samsung will likely add a few other countries to the availability list. The phone maker is also working on another high-end tablet which is expected to break cover very soon.
