Samsung might be resuming sales of the Galaxy Note 7 too soon
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been plagued by a lot of bad news in the past and with the issue of explosions making everything disastrous to the end, they have suffered a huge blow to not only their finances but also, their reputation.
The recall programme which they launched globally was already estimated to cost the South Korean OEM in the neighbourhood of $1 billion dollars and for this kind of reason, we understand that they just can’t stall resuming the sales of this device anymore if they are to make any worthy profit from the flagship at all. However, it still does not look like the best time for this.
Coming off the back of such bad press as exploding devices, Samsung didn’t even give the market a little time to come to terms with this yet before they have started to roll out new units for sale. Likewise, there are still a variety of users in different markets who are yet to turn in their own device for replacements and with these ones still outside, it might pose a threat later when they explode and make the news again.
Let’s not forget the fact that even the new units that are deemed safe have been reported to suffer from overheating and battery drain, meaning Samsung might have rushed a fix.
Putting all of these together, we just think that the resumption of sales has been born too soon.
