Samsung quietly release Galaxy Star Pro, without 3G
Samsung has followed up the Galaxy Star series with a new kid on the block called Samsung Galaxy Star Pro. But perhaps, because this new doesn’t have anything spectacular to write home about was why Samsung didn’t even bother to tell us about this newborn. Continue reading to see why Sammy may have released this phone on a low key.
The Galaxy Star Pro S7260 (with single SIM support) or Galaxy Star Pro S7262 (with dual SIM support) sports a 4-inch touchscreen display with 480×800 pixels in resolution. A 1GHz single-core Cortex A5 processor along with a 512MB RAM and 1500mAH battery is what powers the phone. A rather disappointing 2MP camera and lack of front-facing camera clearly shows the device is a low-range phone for first-time smartphone users. The phone has 4GB of internal storage which is expandable by an extra 32GB with a microSD card. The device lacks 3G network support but has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Galaxy Star Pro runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is priced at about $111.
