Samsung sending out press invites for MWC event, could tease Galaxy S8 too
Samsung already has a press event that it had planned for the MWC scheduled to hold in Barcelona later this month, but we are very sure that we won’t be getting the Galaxy S8 flagship on this date. At least, that is what we have heard from the chief of the Mobile arm of the South Korean OEM.
This is because they want to take their time on this unit to make sure that such occurrences as was recorded on the Note 7 does not repeat. However, this brings us again to what they hope to show to the press on the said date of their scheduled conference.
From the press invites, it has been said that the star of the day would be none other than the Galaxy Tab S3 slate and from what the rumour mills have been peddling, we are expecting a 9.6 inch tablet which is supposed to have its resolution set at 2048 x 1535. The device would also carry a Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 13MP main camera to boot. Finally, we are expected to get both LTE and Wi-Fi options.
However, asides the tablet, there is hope that we get to see the Galaxy S8 flagship too. If a new report from South Korea is anything to go by, there would be a very short video clip on display to tease the unit. If this is true, it would be a most welcome development.
