Samsung SM-A500 drops on the benchmarks, a Galaxy Alpha variant?
After the metal-clad Samsung Galaxy Alpha broke cover, it seems Samsung took a break in the news section, but all that peace is set to away as the phone maker is back in the news once again.
The Galaxy Alpha had Samsung SM-G850 model number, remember? However, thanks to the eagle eyed sight of our friends at GFXBench, a new device (Samsung SM-A500) that popped out of the blue on the benchmarks website was screenshot immediately for members of the mobile phone community to decipher.
According to what’s on the picture, the Samsung SM-A500 has a slightly larger 4.8″ HD screen than the 4.7″ HD on the Galaxy Alpha, spontaneously raising the probability of the former being a new variant of the Galaxy Alpha. Keep in mind that the Samsung Galaxy Alpha hasn’t gone on sale yet before this reported variant hit the airways.
Other specs for the alleged Samsung Galaxy Alpha variant includes a 5.1GB of storage (8GB), 12MP camera, 5MP front-facer, 2GB of RAM and a quad-core, 64-bit-capable Snapdragon 410 CPU. The device was tested with Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
