Samsung SM-A500 is Samsung Galaxy A5, throws in more pictures
Spanning over the past few weeks, a mysterious device we call the Samsung SM-A500 has been making appearances at the news section. However, leads we got from a source who claims to knows about the matter revealed more information about the device.
Firstly, the phone has been named, finally. Our source says the phone will be unveiled in no time as the Samsung Galaxy A5, despite the fact that it’s sibling, the Galaxy Alpha, had just been launched.
The Samsung SM-A500 (Samsung Galaxy A5) — pictured above —went through trade verifications in China a few days ago. The smartphone was found to be having a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution.
The phone further packs 2GB of RAM, quad-core CPU and 16GB of storage while pre-announcement pictures revealed a SIM slot (probably a nano SIM type) and a memory card slot by the side — which might mean the device does not have a removable battery.
To spice up things, Samsung is even working on yet another member of the Galaxy Alpha series. Modeled Samsung SM-A300, this one was caught on the benchmarks sporting a smaller 4.8″ qHD screen and was said to be powered by Qualcomm’s new 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor.
Both the Samsung Galaxy A5 and the Samsung SM-A300 might be in for a same-day announcement. While Samsung has not said anything about either phones — they actually said something about more phones like the Samsung Galaxy Alpha coming– we wait for things to unfold while we feed you all the gist we can get.
