Samsung SM-G5308W and SM-G8508S hit the benchmarks
Samsung seems to be prepping two new midrange smartphones already despite the haul of smartphones the Korean phone maker recently introduced.
First is the Samsung SM-G5308W. With a 5-ich 540 x 960 pixels screen, the upcoming smartphone will be running on the latest version of Android — v4.4.4 KitKat.
Thers’s 8GB of storage on the phone (about 5.3GB is user available), 1GB of RAM and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU.
The SM-G5308W will have an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP snapper up front.
Secondly, we have the Samsung SM-G8508S. According to the specs sheet, this one has a 4.7″ 720p display.
The phone also runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
The SM-G8508S comes with a main 13MP camera and a 2MP front-facer.
We don’t know when these Samsung phones will break cover but seeing them at benchmark pages means that Samsung is test-running them for a possible near-future release.
Also, keep in mind that SM-G5308W and SM-G8508S are not the final names of these devices. Samsung probably must have labeled them with their real names but the benchmark robot wasn’t programed to pick the original names, instead, it prefers the model numbers.
