Samsung’s 18.4″ tablet its not foldable but here are talking points on the Samsung Galaxy View
Samsung would not even wait for the world to get tired and rid of 10 inch tablets before it has launched itself into a new project that would see a tablet bigger than your conventional tablet. In their own words, they were in the works to create a device that would make the 10-inch tablets’ heights pale in comparison, and true to their words, their thoughts have birthed a 18.4 inch tablet. The question is, how needful will this be as a tablet considering its gigantic size? Coming at 18.4 inches, one does not even feel comfortable calling that a tablet. Its more than a tablet.
With the spec sheet that Samsung looks to be working on for this device, indications have been pointing to the fact that even the Korean OEM may not be seeing the device as a tablet. The ‘home button’ that featured on all prior Samsung phones have been deleted on this device and the ports for its use have been placed on the sides, as opposed to being on top or bottom.
The device also comes with a ‘dock’ of some sort which is not known to be user removable or not. Serving as a kind of prop, this dock allows you to fully prop up the device ( for video playback, for example) and also prop it a 45-degree looking angle (for gaming and typing, for example)
The sooner Samsung let’s us know what’s going on though, the better.
