Samsung’s foldable display been stolen & sold to third party for $14m
Two individuals are awaiting trial after being accused of stealing the yet discreet technology behind Samsung’s much-touted foldable display.
Although unnamed, the two individuals are said to be Samsung former suppliers who stole the futuristic flexible OLED edge panel 3D lamination tech, sold it to a third-party who in turn sold information to yet another company for about 14 million dollars.
Samsung told prosecutors that the South Korean company invested 6 years and $130m in developing the foldable display. The two accused persons are still under police custody although a trial date is yet to be announced as of the time of filing this report.
