Samsung’s Gear S goes on sale in Canada for $399 CAD
In Canada, Samsung has began selling their SIM-enabled smartwatch. The Samsung Gear S will cost you $399 Canadian dollars (about $355 US dollars), making it one of the costliest wearables in town.
Users can place their order through Samsung stores, but more retailers will soon have the watch on sale. Most importantly, in a week or two, one or two carriers will start offering the smartwatch on contract.
On why Samsung’s Gear S is different from other smartwatches; The Gear S has a built-in nano SIM slot and can take and make calls on it’s own without the help of a smartphone or tablet. The watch has an accessory called the Gear Circle which is basically a Bluetooth headphone which you can use while taking calls or playing media on the smartwatch.
In addition to this, the Gear S can browse the Internet using Opera Mini browser app. There’s hardly any smartwatch that will browse but this Samsung smartwatch does.
