Sony rolls out Marshmallow update to the Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia M5
The newest addition to the android family – the Android Nougat which is expected to carry the 7.0 badge – is expected just later this year but before phone manufacturers get faced with the task of having to create new devices updated to this platform, they have started rolling out updates to their other devices to reach the marshmallow benchmark and of these, Sony does not wish to be left out.
There is yet good news in the box for Xperia users now because the manufacturer has announced the availability of updates to the marshmallow for users of the Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia M5. Soon, as fast as the users of these devices can lay their hands on the updates, they would also know what it feels like to operate a marshmallow powered handheld.
The Marshmallow update is expected to bring on board the normal granular app permissions, better battery saving features and the barrage of new emoji that have been designed for this platform. Pokémon Go players would now have something to smile about with the extended battery life. Keep chasing the ghosts for a longer time now.
Note that as it is with most OTA updates, you might not get yours on your screen until after a while. You could wait till the update pops up on screen or instead, go to Settings yourself and manually check for new updates if you just can’t wait anymore.
